Discover the Unicollege Faculty-Led Programs in Milan, Florence and Mantua.
Unicollege provides foreign students to experience the world as their classroom, combining formal academic classes with life learning as they immerse themselves in a new culture.
Unicollege is a Recognized Higher Education Italian Institute that aims to produce professional figures such as mediators, translators and interpreters, equipped with specialized skills in the legal, sociological and cultural sectors, qualified to assume cross-lingual roles within private firms, public organizations, training institutes and all of the working environments, which require linguistic mediation skills.
Our university provides foreign students the opportunity to experience the world as their classroom, combining formal academic classes with life learning as they immerse themselves in a new culture.
With Unicollege you will go beyond a purely academic experience.
Unicollege is happy for any opportunity to make new connections with schools abroad by hosting faculty-led programs for visiting professors and their students. Professors chaperone a minimum of eight participants from their home university. Faculty-led models vary with some institutions choosing to open their course to other Unicollege students, while others choose to enroll only students from their home institution. Some models even allow students to enroll in Unicollege courses on a variety of topics, including Italian language, Criminology, Marketing, Tourism, Wine/Food agricultural systems, Design etc. Unicollege is well-equipped to host professors according to the faculty-led model required or preferred by their university. Summer courses at Unicollege are normally 3 credits with 45 contact hours. If your faculty-led will not follow the Unicollege summer calendar, please contact us for program availability.
Unicollege offers professors three magnificent sites for faculty-led courses. Each city has very different characteristics, which create a unique experience for students eager to enjoy a “full immersion” into authentic Italian culture.
Not too big, not too small, not too expensive, nestled between Milan and Verona: Mantua is an excellent place to teach but also an easy point-of-departure for both co-curricular and extracurricular travel. Mantua offers our students its history, culture and heritage, welcoming them in an atmosphere out of time. The birthplace of the great Latin Poet Virgil and known for the architectural legacy of the Renaissance Gonzaga rulers, in this city surrounded by water there are many opportunities to experience various forms of entertainment, culture and excursions.
Situated in the picturesque region of Tuscany, Florence is considered the cradle of the Renaissance and it’s one of Italy’s most vibrant cities, filled with many squares, monuments, parks and cafes. Every year, there are recurrent events such as fairs, festivals, theatrical and lyrical productions and arts exhibitions, which will make your studying experience in the Tuscan Capital a memorable one. Unicollege Florence appeals to students of all academic backgrounds and offers them an opportunity to study in a historic city center’s setting.
Milan is the world’s capital of fashion and design, home to many museums, beautiful architecture and canal-side cafes. Studying a graduate program in such eclectic surroundings, will introduce you to a city full of creativity, passion and exceptional cuisine- this is the real Italy! Milan is headquarters for fashion greats such as Dolce & Gabbana, Giorgio Armani, Prada and Versace, to name a few; walk the Via Montenapoleone to take in all the luxury brands.
The variety of Unicollege’s campus sites and community partnerships make it an ideal place for your students to discover the real Italy—and Italians.
Unicollege offers a different, simpler model from the standard faculty-led program. Too often the professor becomes a travel agent, tour guide, and emergency contact. At Unicollege, all transport to and from the nearest airport, orientation, travel questions, student health emergencies, and housing issues are handled by our experienced staff. Professors are only responsible for their classroom time and possible field trips, all of which can be organized with our faculty and staff’s assistance. Classes meet between 2-5 times a week (depending on the program) and professors are free to travel, research, meet with students, or do what they please outside of those meetings.
Unicollege will assist the visiting lecturer in recruitment. This assistance ranges from a personalized page on our website, to custom printable posters provided, online advertising, and replying to students’ inquiries and questions. All costs for this assistance will be handled by Unicollege and a further outline in an electronic promotion guide, can be provided on request.
Unicollege can help you find the right topic for your course. The Institute will also aid in developing the curriculum and syllabus, refining logistics, and choosing field trips that will enrich the student experience.
Total compensation depends on the number of students the professor brings to the program, the housing desired by the professor, and the relationship between the Unicollege and the professor’s institution. In certain cases professors are compensated by their own institutions; if not, they can discuss a payment plan directly with Unicollege. Compensation estimates can be provided upon request. The Institute has a range of housing solutions for professors in all three campus locations.
